Oral Examinations — 12 & 13 August 2026

The PSLE oral examinations kick off the exam season. Students are assessed on Reading Aloud and Stimulus-Based Conversation. All oral sessions run from 08:00 to 13:30.

Each student's oral exam takes approximately 10–15 minutes. Your child's school will inform you of the specific reporting time and session.

Listening Comprehension — 15 September 2026

The LC exams are held on Monday 15 September in two sessions. Students should arrive at least 15 minutes before the exam starts.

Important Reminders

  • Arrive at least 30 minutes before the start time.

  • Bring your student card and all required stationery.

  • Electronic devices (including smartwatches) are not allowed in the exam hall.

  • Approved calculators may be used for Mathematics Paper 2 only.

Study & Preparation Timeline

February – April: Foundation Building

  • Review P5 and early P6 concepts thoroughly

  • Identify weak topics in each subject and address gaps

  • Build a consistent daily study routine (1.5–2 hours after school)

May – June: Intensive Revision

  • Use the June holidays for focused revision blocks

  • Practise past-year papers under timed conditions

  • Focus on composition writing and comprehension techniques

July: Mock Exams & Refinement

  • Take prelim/mock exams seriously as final practice

  • Analyse mistakes and refine weak areas

  • Practise time management across all paper formats

August: Oral Exam Preparation

  • Practise reading aloud daily with expression and clarity

  • Prepare for stimulus-based conversations with current affairs topics

  • Record yourself speaking and review pronunciation

September: Final Revision & Written Papers

  • Light revision only — avoid cramming new topics

  • Revise key formulas, vocabulary, and science concepts

  • Prioritise sleep, nutrition, and mental well-being
