Schools with Strong Science & Math Programmes: Best Options for STEM Students
If your child is passionate about Science and Mathematics — the type who reads about physics for fun, builds things in their spare time, or obsesses over solving problems — the right secondary school environment can be transformative. Singapore has several schools with genuinely world-class STEM programmes. Here is where to look.
NUS High School of Mathematics and Science
NUS High is Singapore’s most specialised STEM secondary school. It offers a 6-year Integrated Programme with a modular curriculum heavily weighted towards Mathematics, Sciences, and Research. Students graduate with the NUS High School Diploma rather than A-Levels. The school has produced numerous national and international Olympiad medallists. Admission is through DSA, with a strong focus on mathematical and scientific aptitude.
Schools with Strong Science & Maths Programmes
Raffles Institution (RI) — Offers Science Research Programme, Mathematics Olympiad training, and consistent representation at international science fairs.
Hwa Chong Institution — Renowned for its Science and Mathematics talent development. Strong Olympiad training culture and research mentorship.
Nanyang Girls’ High School — Offers the Nanyang Research Programme and has a strong track record in Singapore Mathematical Olympiad and science competitions.
Anglo-Chinese School (Barker Road) — Recognised for its Science and Technology programme. Strong engineering and robotics culture.
River Valley High School — Offers Applied Learning Programmes in Science and Technology. Strong in computing and data science tracks.
Temasek Junior College (feeder schools) — Schools like Bedok South and Dunman Secondary with Applied Science Learning Programmes feed well into science-focused JC pathways.
What to Look for in a STEM School
Research programmes: Schools that connect students with universities or A*STAR for research attachments offer opportunities far beyond the classroom.
Olympiad track record: Consistent representation in Singapore Mathematical Olympiad, Singapore Science and Engineering Fair, and international competitions signals a genuine training culture.
Computing and engineering CCAs: Robotics clubs, coding teams, and engineering societies show that STEM is embedded in school culture, not just the curriculum.
Getting In: DSA for Science and Maths
Most top STEM schools offer DSA in Science, Mathematics, or Computing. Selection typically involves aptitude tests, problem-solving exercises, and interviews. Your child should have demonstrable interest — competition participation, research projects, or self-directed learning — not just strong school grades.

How to Choose a Secondary School in Singapore: 8 Questions Every Parent Should Ask

For Diu win game login, does anyone know if there is a minimum amount required to start playing? I want to try it with a small amount first just to understand the process properly.
Thanks for putting this together — the bit about specialist tracks and how to get in is genuinely useful for parents weighing options. One thing I'd add: for students aiming at STEM, the maths and science programme matters, but so does whether the school lets them go deep in one area early. Curious how you'd compare the specialist tracks against schools that just have strong general programmes — is the specialist route always the better bet, or does it depend on the kid? (Also, the phrasing in that one section reads like it was probably stolen wiki, so you might want to double-check the wording before publishing.)
