Overmugged's Math Curriculum
At Overmugged, our math lessons are designed to build strong critical thinking skills, not just rote learning.
Our curriculum explicitly targets the key competencies assessed in PSLE examinations:
-
Problem analysis & question-deconstruction strategies
-
Model drawing & visual representation skills
-
Multi-step problem-solving techniques
-
Conceptual understanding of core math topics
-
Accuracy, presentation, and method marking awareness

Through regular review quizzes, targeted practice, and weekly exposure to a wide range of word-problem types, students develop a solid foundation and sharpen their problem-solving abilities for exams.
We also encourage students to be vocal and actively share their thought processes during lessons, as explaining their reasoning helps deepen understanding and clarify misconceptions.
By creating a safe and supportive learning environment, students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning from one another.
This open exchange of ideas builds confidence, strengthens communication skills, and promotes more meaningful learning.
