TEACHING FOR UNDERSTANDING
As part of laying the foundation for our students' academic journey, we first teach for understanding, allowing them to grasp subject specific concepts before moving onto other stages of learning.
APPLICATION AND PRACTICE
To ensure students have fully understood the concepts taught by the tutors, in-class exercises are given to provide them with the chance to apply their knowledge. As the saying goes, practice makes perfect!
EXAM TECHNIQUES AND PREPARATION
At Overmugged, we specifically carve out
class time to go through exam questions and answering techniques. We want students to not just understand what we teach, but to have the skillsets necessary to recognise exam tricks, question types and handle them confidently.
CONSULTATIONS AND CLARIFICATIONS
We want students to score. BUT most importantly, we want them to understand where they've gone wrong in order to score effectively and efficiently. Our Overmugged tutors make time for clarifications and consultations to ensure that our students have time to clarify their doubts and questions.
