When exactly are PSLE results out?

SEAB lists the release as Tue 24 Nov – Wed 25 Nov 2026, and MOE says results come out at 11am. Both describe this date as tentative.

SEAB says the actual date can only be confirmed once all processes are complete, and it will announce it through the media.

Students who took part in Direct School Admission (DSA-Sec) will receive their school allocation results together with their PSLE results.

What if we cannot collect the results?

If you or your child cannot collect the PSLE results and related documents, MOE lets you nominate another adult to collect them.

Use MOE's proxy form to do this.

How do we submit school choices?

Choices are submitted online through the S1 Portal. Here is how the window works, according to MOE.

Which Posting Group will my child be in?

Your child's PSLE score decides their Posting Group, which also guides the subject levels they start Secondary 1 with.

Does the order of choices matter?

Yes. MOE posts students by PSLE score first, then by choice order and the vacancies in each chosen school.

When students with the same score compete for the last place in a school, MOE applies these tie-breakers in order.

Order

Tie-breaker

1st

Citizenship (SC, then PR, then international)

2nd

Choice order of the school

3rd

Computerised balloting

Students who cannot be placed in any chosen school are posted to a school with vacancies, based on their registered address.

What should parents do now?

  • Check your address: if your NRIC address has changed, tell your child's primary school by end October.

  • Shortlist early: agree on about six schools in a realistic order before results day.

  • Use your first choice wisely: if you want an affiliated school, MOE says to list it as the first choice.

  • Plan results day: decide who will collect the results, and use the proxy form if needed.

  • Talk it through: a score is one input; programmes, CCAs, culture and distance matter too.

When are other national exam results?

For families with older children, these are the other tentative results dates for the 2026 exams.
